After a lifetime of dreaming of a career in the fashion world, Jessica Mason Brown is living her dream. As Owner and Head Designer of Ivy & Aster, Jessica is at the helm, creating her vision of what a modern bride desires on her wedding day. Ivy & Aster debuted in 2010 and shortly after became the indie-darling for brides and bridesmaids searching for something unique for their special day. With a dash of whimsy, a nod to modern fashion trends and deep inspiration from vintage apparel, Ivy & Aster is now available to every bride through a vetted network of specialty bridal salons and an online marketplace. Jessica's love of bridal and the feeling around one's journey in finding 'the dress' created the unique story behind Ivy & Aster and allows her to share her love and celebration of marriage.

In starting her own company, Jessica drew from her past experiences at Anne Barge and Badgley Mischka Bride as Vice President for almost 11 years. Learning the bridal business from the ground up instilled the desire to create her own bridal concept and provided invaluable tools for building a business and a brand. Prior to her time at Anne Barge, Jessica worked for several local fashion designers including Annie Carlyle and Knox Clayton. While still studying Fashion Design and Marketing in college, Jessica worked at Saks Fifth Avenue and also freelanced for a vintage clothing collector specializing in turn of the century gown restoration. Her rich experiences and exposure to fine clothing all played a roll in developing the Ivy & Aster brand. Ever the fan of collaboration, Ivy & Aster has partnered with artists from different mediums and is always seeking new creatives partnerships, keeping the brand at the forefront of the affordable, but stylish, bridal niche.

It's a beautiful thing when a career and passion come together!

Your Personal Travel Concierge, Nita, Owner of Stars N Skyes Travel.

My passion for travel started back in 1980 when my grandfather took me to Disney World for the first time. I can still sense the feeling that I had when I walked through those gates. That fire continued to burn deep inside my heart and has not been extinguished. My mother was a travel agent so my brother and I traveled extensively throughout our childhood. While pursuing my degree in Business Administration at Georgia State University, I worked at The Hilton in downtown Atlanta. With over 1225 rooms to manage and a staff of over 50 people, I swiftly moved up the corporate ladder from a Front Desk Clerk to the Assistant Director of Front Office within 18 months! If you are a numbers person, this means that I have been in the Hospitality industry for over 30 years!

The extensive, first hand experience, and the exceptional personalized service that I provide is what sets me apart from the crowd. People often ask “What is your niche?” My answer has always been - “Wherever my journey leads me.” When you have a desire to immerse yourself in so many cultures, it makes it difficult to select a preferred market. Each and every destination is unique in its own way and offers something that makes it worthy to be called my niche. I have traveled to Dubai, Europe, Mexico, Jamaica, Turks and Caicos, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and too many other destinations to mention. I have sailed on most of the major cruise lines, including European River Cruises.

A few noted certifications to mention are Shangri-La Hotels, Disney Genius, Mexico Travel Expert, Princess Cruises Commodore, AM Resorts Master Agent, and so much more. As a top producer in the South East for AM Resorts, I have been recognized as one of the best for All Inclusive destination getaways. I attend conferences and take many classes annually to increase my knowledge of travel destinations. It is important to constantly keep updated on changes and renovations that are taking place. I feel this is imperative in helping my clients determine which destination suits them best.

With every reservation that I make, I give special attention to exactly what my clients are looking for and what is important to them. I customize itineraries to fit my client’s preferences. Rarely will you find what I create listed on your ordinary online travel site. Oftentimes the excursions that my clients experience and the accommodations that they enjoy are not even listed online. I am aware of these unique features because I don’t just sell travel, I travel extensively to see what is available for my clients. Let me know what type of journey you want and I will make it happen…. and I will tell you what the sand in Turks and Caicos feels like between your toes, I will describe to you what jerk chicken tastes like in Jamaica or conch fritters in the Bahamas. I can tell you how amazing the sunset is from the desert in Dubai, and I can describe what it feels like to be laying in your bed on a river cruise watching the swan play in the river.

Need help with a destination getaway? Allow me to assist with suggestions, payment plans, and booking. Check me out at Stars N Skyes Travel.

Like all young kids I anxiously awaited the last day of school.  It was a family tradition that we would jump into our Winnebago, shed the urban landscape of Chicago and visit the American landmarks we learned about in history class.  I can recall the sheer excitement of walking up to the Grand Canyon, standing in awe of Old Faithful and discovering the overwhelming majesty of the Redwoods in California.  These early experiences ignited the desire in me to want more.

More is exactly what I received when I started developing my formal creative vision at Columbia College in Chicago, Illinois.  Studying both television and film helped to redefine, sharpen and monetize my visual lens.  Collaborating on a portfolio of projects afforded me the opportunity to hold principle roles as location scout, cinematographer, editor and director.  This passion has taken me all over the world cataloguing some of the most amazing life stores through documentaries.

Today, I call New York City my home.  Here I use my creative talents to help propel brands beyond limits to capture new market share.  Working with global brands such as Kraft Heinz, Nestle, Avis Budget, T-Mobile and Samsung, I get to combine my talents and skills on executing some very successful marketing campaigns to get more.  In addition to my career achievements, I have spent 12 years working with students in economically challenged communities the Bronx, NY and in Hartford, CT mentoring them to academic excellence.  I begin each new class by holding up my passport and saying, “My passport is my most prized possession.  It has no real value but the access it provides is priceless.”  I try to use my life to arouse that sense of adventure in both my students and clients.  The same adventure my parents used to inspire me.
