Philadelphia's Newest Luxury Destination at AKA Rittenhouse Square

Philly has a new destination for luxury. AKA Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia’s premier hotel residences specializing in weekly and monthly stays, reveals stunning new designs and amenities throughout the property marking the completion of a multi-phase, multimillion-dollar transformation. A team of experts comprised of Stephan Potts, principal of Stanev Potts Architects; Nicholas Cardone, Vice President of Design at AKA; and Alex Henry, Asset Management Director at AKA, worked alongside AKA President Larry Korman to bring his vision to life.

Enhancements introduced at AKA Rittenhouse Square include a newly-unveiled, tree-level ‘Reverse Penthouse’ on the mezzanine, which provides residents who love the space and luxury of the upper penthouse level the option to stay directly above ground level. The Reverse Penthouse boasts convenient and intimate access in and out of building, as well as a tree-lined view of Philadelphia’s historic Rittenhouse Square Park. The Reverse Penthouse reflects Nicholas Cardone’s unmistakable approach to refined, contemporary design, with distinguished details and elements of natural materials.

Also designed by Nicholas Cardone, a selection of renovated residences will include new aesthetic additions, including custom-designed modern furnishings in a sleek grey color palette, wall to wall carpet bedrooms featuring comfortable fully-upholstered beds, custom a. sleep mattresses, luxurious Sferra bedding, room darkening draperies, dimmable lighting, and custom framed artwork throughout. Bedrooms are complemented by marble-clad baths with glass enclosed showers.

The property’s new collection of resident amenity spaces includes a private library which will act as a quiet respite for residents, with furniture by B&B Italia. The new amenities also include a. cinema, Philadelphia’s newest private cinema, which features luxurious electric-reclining black leather seats, and curated programming including award-winning films, weekly screenings of critically-acclaimed shows, and more. The property’s sleek laundry facility, a critical element to offering a premier long-stay experience, has been expanded and includes additional washers and dryers by Asko.

With Philadelphia’s top financial, corporate, and law firms only a short distance away, AKA Rittenhouse Square introduces a large boardroom that seats up to 18, and a more intimate conference room that seats up to six, custom tailored to business travelers. To accommodate residents looking to be pampered, the property now offers on-demand beauty and wellness services - bringing the salon directly to your residence. For those looking to workout in an upscale setting, AKA Rittenhouse Square offers a fitness center furnished with state-of-the-art Technogym equipment, as well as full access to the fitness facilities and lap pool at The Sporting Club at the Bellevue.

“As pioneers of the luxury long-stay category, it’s incredibly rewarding to see the desirability of hotel residences continuing to grow as an in-demand offering, when compared with traditional hotel rooms among business and leisure travelers and those in need of a home away from home during a life transition,” stated Larry Korman, president of AKA. “We look forward to opening the doors at AKA Rittenhouse Square to showcase the dramatic transformation we have made to create an unparalleled offering and further strengthen the long-stay segment.”
